Let’s get started with a detailed review of Veesp then?

Is Veesp anonymous?

Veesp is a legally registered hosting company. Meaning, it isn’t as anonymous as some of us would like it to be.

Also, the registration form is pretty personal. The nail in the coffin is its T&C. It clearly mentions that client data is kept.

Sure, you may enter untrue data during registration. There’s no mention of it being a breach of their T&C anywhere. However, that’s not recommended and may lead to problems.

In a nutshell, no, Veesp isn’t (officially) an anonymous hosting company. If you look at our PRQ  review you’d see how that company is 100% anonymous and doesn’t care who you are.

Is Veesp hosting offshore?

Veesp is a hosting based out of Latvia. The official registration number is – 40203049990. And, its servers are located in St. Petersburg, Russia.

That does make it an offshore hosting for anyone out of Latvia.  But, just because a company is offshore, doesn’t mean it’s liberal, right? Fortunately, there’s nothing in the Veesp T&C see which says it adheres to “global laws”.

Rather, there are clauses which suggest it’s only subject to laws of the Russian Federation. So, yes. Veesp is an offshore hosting company in the true sense. You can upload and store content which is illegal at your place/country, as long as it’s not illegal at the server location.

That’s as much liberty as you can ask from any offshore host, right?

What are the available server locations?

The server locations largely define what you can and can’t upload on your server. They also determine how fast or slow your website will be for certain visitors.

Now, Veesp offers two offshore hosting locations to choose from:

  • Saint Petersburg, Russia.
  • And, Riga, Latvia.

Those are two very acceptable locations. However, if you need more privacy-friendly locations, our Katzglobal review or WebCare 360 review may help you out.

What is Veesp’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)?

It’s offshore. But, obviously it’ll have its limitations, right?

Users aren’t allowed to host/use Veesp to spam. Copyrighted materials aren’t allowed either. Take a look at our Warez host review or BlueAngelHost review if you wish to upload copyrighted content. Else, our Hub review may let you upload pirated software!

Mining of Cryptocurrencies, DDoS attacks, content related to hacking etc. are some other prohibited items on Veesp.

Fortunately though, there’s no mention of porn or adult content being banned/restricted. The same goes for content related to gambling as well.

We’re singling these out because most often than not, these are banned, even on the most liberal offshore hosts. As far as this Veesp review goes, we’re happy with its AUP.

What are the available payment modes?

Can you make anonymous payments to Veesp hosting? Yes, you totally can. Let’s start with the traditional modes first?

Veesp accepts payments via fiats, which include:

PayPal, WebMoney, Cards, Transfers via Wire (needs to be requested manually), And Qiwi.

On the other hand, Cryptocurrencies too are accepted, including:

Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple, And many others.

The Cryptocurency payments are processed via Coingate. Hence ,the actual list of accepted coins is much longer.

In a nutshell, you’ll totally be able to make payments without compromising your identity on Veesp.

Does Veesp hosting offer a free trial?

Yes, it actually does, and, that’s extremely rare for any hosting company. Veesp offers a 3-day free trial. In order to avail it, all you have to do is signup, and get in touch with the support team.

There’s no “automated” way or page to avail the free trial. Manually containing the support team is a must. But, hey, that does tell us the company is confident of its services (why else would it offer a free-trial, right?)

Just for the sake of options, if “free trial” is all you need, Internet Solutions HK is worth a glance as well.

What are the available contact modes?

This is a bit of a downer as far as this Veesp review goes. We’re a fan of live-chat, and Veesp doesn’t offer that.

However, there’s a contact form available on the contact page. Or, a physical visit can be paid to the company headquarters as well.

Finally, a phone number is provided as well. The good news is, separate contact info for the HQ and for the datacenters are provided. So, you reach exactly who you want to.

How good/bad are Veesp servers?

At the end of the day, it’s all about quality & speed, isn’t it? Well, like any other best anonymous offshore hosting company, Veesp too claims to offer 99.9% uptime.

Obviously, we don’t (and shouldn’t) believe in “claims”, right? So, we went out and did our own research. As it turns out, the company doesn’t bluff. The customer reviews indeed prove that the uptime isn’t disappointing.

What’s better? They offer a “full refund” on the bills of the last month if the uptime falls below 99.9%.

But hey, what about speed? We decided to get even more concrete data. Fortunately, Veesp does have a looking glass. In other words, we get to test the server speed.

So, we tested its servers in Saint Petersburg. Now, do note that our own location is  nowhere near Russia. And, it matters when it comes to server speed. Here are the test results:

Our average download speed is around 2Mbps. Considering that, the fact that Veesp did actually provide equally fast downloads was impressive.

All in all, it’s fair to assume that your visitors wouldn’t be left hanging having to wait for your website to load. (Unless, you have a poorly optimized website, of course.)

What are the available servers and pricing plans?

If you need a “shared” server, go take a look at any of our other best anonymous offshore hosting deals.  That’s because Veesp doesn’t entertain shared servers.

On the other hand, if you’re searching for VPS or Dedicated servers, stay right here (please?).

So, let’s start with the fact that Veesp offers:

  • Linux SSD
  • Linux HDD
  • And Windows VPS.

Even the payment cycles are full of options. You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or yearly.

Now, the cheapest plan sells for $2.10/month. It’s for the HDD servers. If you need SSD drives, they start at $3.40/month. (These plans are when you opt for the annual payments.)

There’s no bandwidth cap whatsoever. It does offer acceptable OS-choices.  You can choose from Ubuntu, CentOS, Windows, VestaCP, LAMP, ownCloud and Debian. Custom OS can be installed as well. All plans even includes IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Additional IPs can be added for $2.00/month.

As for Dedicated servers, they start at $120.00/month. Unfortunately, no managed servers are offered.

Does Veesp offer refunds?

Yes, it does. However, there aren’t any concrete policies around this. Rather, it’s decided on a case-to-case basis.

However, if you consider the 3 day free trial, we’d say whatever refund policy exists is acceptable, isn’t it?

What are the Veesp pros and cons?

So, let’s pack up whatever we’ve discussed so far in a few brief words?

Pros:

  • Multiple server locations.
  • Acceptable AUP.
  • Free trial

Cons:

  • Not 100% anonymous.

Final verdict- Veesp review

Is it, or is not worth your time then? Well,  The company totally fits the bill if you need an offshore hosting company. If you do not use your personal info during registration, it also can serve as an anonymous host.

The support is a tad-bit slow, but not completely unreachable. The AUP too is one of the most liberal AUPs you can expect.

The best part is the free trials. You don’t have to trust this Veesp review. You can go avail the free trial and see it in action, live.
